In The Ocean Surf
I see...
The waves crashing down towards me with the sea breeze whipping salt water on my face.
The wild surf consuming surfers raging towards the shore.
The gargantuan waves creating white horses the size of houses.
The wild surf consuming surfers raging towards the shore.
The gargantuan waves creating white horses the size of houses.
I feel...
The waves lapping around my body as the grip of the surfboard runs freely through my hands.
The seawater warming my wetsuit and the free flow of icy water swirling around my toes and numbing them to the bone.
The seawater warming my wetsuit and the free flow of icy water swirling around my toes and numbing them to the bone.
I hear
The sound of the ravenous seagulls swooping down and stealing kids ice creams as they go howling to their parents.
he sound of seashells ringing in my ears.
The sizzling sound of sausages on the barbecue and the sound of cans being popped open.
he sound of seashells ringing in my ears.
The sizzling sound of sausages on the barbecue and the sound of cans being popped open.
I want
The waves to swoop me up and lug me to shore.
To drift out to sea and not know when to wake up as the sea carries me like a piece of driftwood lost on a different planet.
To lie down and close my eyes in a forever sleep.
To drift out to sea and not know when to wake up as the sea carries me like a piece of driftwood lost on a different planet.
To lie down and close my eyes in a forever sleep.
I wonder
When the night will collapse down and force me back to shore with my body as tight as a rock squished into an unnatural position as long hours of surfing takes its toll. When the waves will die down and leave me out here alone.
In The Surf...
