The day I turned 13!
When I arrived at school, my class had already written ‘Happy Birthday Ella’ on the whiteboard. I felt very special that everyone remembered my birthday. After we did the roll, everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. Lisa (my teacher Aide) baked me a cake to share with the class. Just before morning tea time, we all sat on the floor and Lisa lite my candles for me. Some of the candles kept lighting up after I blew them out. They were tricking me! Elia (my other teacher aide from last year) came in too. Elia gave me a special present.
When Mum fetched me from school she told me I had a surprise waiting for me at home. As soon as I arrived home, I quickly went to my room to change into my new dress. I was only allowed to go into the lounge when Mum said so. I waited and waited and even peeped through the window to see what they were up to. I saw Mum and Maddie putting balloons up. It was very exciting!
When it was safe to enter the lounge, I saw 13 balloons hanging from the ceiling. They spelt out the words “Happy Birthday”. They were pink and white bubble balloons.
Then the guests arrived. We all enjoyed a huge lunch together. There were cherrios, hot dogs, chips, potato salad, fairy bread and carrot and cucumber dips. It was yummy.
After lunch, Mum brought out my Moana cake. This was the best birthday cake I have ever had. It had a Moana doll and a real coconut and passion fruit as well as lollies on it. The cake was made of chocolate and it had orange, pink and yellow icing.
Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me, and then I blew my candles out. We all enjoyed a slice of cake with icecream.
Maddie plugged her laptop into the TV and put the Moana movie on for us. While this was playing I opened my presents. I got so many presents, I can’t remember all of them! Kieran arrived later on, and it was so nice to see him.
I enjoyed my birthday celebrations. This was a very special day for me.
